GDPR goes global

When businesses geared up for the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018, they did not realise that the principles underlying its tougher privacy laws were being cloned by lawmakers in other countries.

From Brazil and China, to California and elsewhere businesses are not only having to rebuild their privacy systems – they are having to rethink their strategic plans.
